Rawalpindi: 12 terror suspects sent to Adiala Jail
RAWALPINDI: Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) No-II Judge Sakhi Muhammad Kahoot on Saturday sent 12 suspected terrorists to Adiala Jail and adjourned hearing into the case till August 23 as the assistant director of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) filed challans with the court against the suspects.
Police and other law-enforcement agencies arrested these suspects from Dhoke Kala Khan in the limits of Sadiqabad police station and allegedly seized a massive quantity of explosive material from their possession when they were planning to attack important personalities and sensitive buildings in the twin cities.
These suspects included Intikhab Abbasi, Abid Khan, Muhammad Ishaq, Muhammad Kabir, Qamaruzaman Zaman, Zafar Ali, Muhammad Zameer, Muhammad Toqueer, Muhammad Sajad, Abdul Sattar, Farhan Mehmood and Arshad Mehmood. They were brought to the court in tight security. Elite Force personnel were guarding the courtroom. Media was not allowed to cover the court proceedings. Later, the suspects were shifted to Adiala Jail.
