Islamabad: 222 held for street crimes during 2008
ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police arrested 222 people involved in streets crimes during this year so far and recovered 182 mobile phones, snatched jewellery and 9 vehicles including a Toyota Hiace from the accused. Aabpara police arrested 11 accused and recovered 9 snatched mobile phones and a vehicle.
Kohsar police arrested 22 suspects and recovered 13 snatched mobile phones, cash and a vehicle from them. Margalla police arrested 31 suspects and recovered 26 snatched mobile phones and snatched money from them. Shalimar police arrested 13 accused and recovered 29 snatched mobile phones and one vehicle.
Industrial Area police arrested 33 accused and recovered 20 snatched mobile phones, snatched jewellery and cash from them.
Sabzi Mandi police arrested 49 accused and recovered 42 snatched mobile phones and three vehicles from them. Tarnol police arrested 10 accused and recovered 08 snatched mobile phones and 4 vehicles.
Meanwhile, Golra police arrested 4 accused and recovered 4 snatched mobile phones and cash. Secretariat police arrested 3 accused and recovered 06 snatched mobile phones. Bahara Kau police arrested 22 persons and recovered 09 snatched mobile phones and one vehicle from their possession.
Shahzad Town police arrested 16 accused and recovered 11 snatched mobile phones. Sihala police arrested 3 people and recovered a snatched mobile phone and cash. Koral police arrested 4 persons and recovered a snatched mobile phone, one vehicle and cash from the accused. While Nelor police arrested one person and recovered snatched mobile phone, vehicle and cash from him.
