Rawalpindi: Court releases two suspected killers
RAWALPINDI: Additional District and Sessions Judge Khalid Mehmood Ranjha on Thursday freed two persons allegedly involved in a murder case. The accused Basharat Hussain and Naveed Hussain were blamed for killing Naeem Akhtar, a resident of Kangal, Adiala Road, on January 12, 2005, in the jurisdiction of Saddar Bairooni police station.
As the lawyer of Naeem’s family could not prove the murder, the court released Basharat and Naveed. Meanwhile, Anti–Terrorism Court (ATC) No–II Judge Sakhi Muhammad Kahoot on Thursday rejected bail application of Muhammad Sajjad, who was arrested last month for having links with terrorists.
