Islamabad: Malik confirms arrest of 1 person behind Wah blasts
ISLAMABAD: Adviser to the Prime Minister on Interior Rehman Malik has said that one person had been arrested for direct links with the two suicide bombers who struck at the two gates of the Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POF), Wah, on Thursday afternoon. “Yes, I confirm that we have arrested one person directly linked to the twin suicide attacks in Wah,” Malik told The News on Friday.
“I would prefer not to go into much detail but would like to say that certainly this arrest and the ensuing investigations have provided us with enough vital information on the basis of which we are moving forward,” he said. When asked about the difference of opinion between the intelligence sources on the number of those arrested, Malik said that he would confirm “only one”.
