Islamabad: Triple-murder accused given in police custody
ISLAMABAD: A local court on Monday remanded a man in custody of Sabzi Mandi police for five days for his alleged involvement in a triple–murder case. According to a press statement issued on Monday, the police arrested Muhammad Latif on the complaint of Chaudhry Anwarul Haq, a resident of F-11/2.
The police said the accused along with his accomplices – Abdul Ghani and Shafique had murdered Nisarul Haq, Iftikhar and Muhammad Kamal on July 15 in Dhoke Iqbal Dakhli. Runaway child reunited with family: National Highways and Motorway Police (NH&MP) on Monday reunited a runaway child with his parents.
According to a press statement, the NH&MP found a child wandering in distress in the area of Rashakai. The child told police that he was a resident of Lahore and had left home few days ago after developing differences with his elder brother.
The NH&MP took the boy into their safe custody and made him agree to go back home. The police traced the child’s parents and handed him over to them. NH&MP Inspector General Muhammad Raffat Pasha appreciated the officers for reuniting the child with his parents.
