Lahore: 5 arrested with 25,000 kites
LAHORE: The Gujjarpura police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested five people for being involved in making and selling kites and other related material and recovered around 25,000 kites from their possession. On a tip-off, a police team, under the supervision of SPO Shalimar Rana Azim, conducted a raid on the depot of Abdul Razzaq, who used to supply kites and other related material to his customers in Mochi Gate.
During the raid the police arrested Abdul Razzaq and his accomplices, namely Ghulam Rasool, Amir Shahzad, Muhammad Tariq and Muhammad Ali. It is noteworthy that almost half and month ago a child was killed with kite twine but these accused were still operating this illegal business.
