Lahore: Murder accused held
LAHORE: The Investigation Police Ghalib Market on Tuesday apprehended a criminal involved in murder–cum–dacoity incident and recovered Rs 11,000 and a mobile phone from him. The accused had murdered an aged woman named Razia Perveen with the help of his wife some 20 days ago after looting Rs 100,000 and a gold chain from her house.
On the directions of Capital City Police Chief Muhammad Pervez Rathor, DIG Investigation Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera directed Model Town division SP Investigation Rai Ijaz and Model Town Division SP Operations Dr Raja Abid to arrest the criminals. A team, under the supervision of ASP Gulberg Ali Nasir Rizvi, started investigating the case.
During the investigation, the police came to know that Zahoor’s brother-in-law named Bilal came to visit his house along with his wife. Next day, the couple left Zahoor’s house early in the morning but came back when his wife Razia was alone and looted Rs 100,000, a gold chain and an unstitched suit from the house. As they were leaving, Razia Perveen began to shout and they covered her mouth with a cloth and she died of suffocation. The police team traced the location of Bilal and arrested him from Chungi Amarsidhu.
