Islamabad: FIA to lodge FIR against human traffickers
ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Lahore, has ordered the FIA, Multan, to register an FIR against the powerful human traffickers of the southern Punjab, who have looted over 90 families. The FIA, Multan, had not registered an FIR against the gang despite the recommendations of the legal branch. The FIA, Islamabad, had pressed the agency’s Lahore office to sort out the issue.
On the immense pressure of the headquarters, the FIA, Lahore, was forced to direct the Multan branch to register an FIR. According to the FIA Lahore officials, the agency had been under immense pressure from the head office, Islamabad, to lodge an
FIR against the gang of human traffickers who had looted more than 90 families of Pakpattan, Sahiwal, Multan, Narowal, Faisalabad, Lahore and Arifwala. The gang has not only earned millions of rupees in human trafficking but also many of their clients are languishing in foreign jails on account of fake visas.
