Karachi: Labourer murdered
KARACHI: A young labourer was murdered by his brother-in-law in Mochko police limits on Monday. Wajid Iqbal, 34, son of Javed Iqbal was killed, when his brother-in-law Nayaz Muhammad along with his friend Rashid opened fire at him near his residence situated in Khayamkhani Colony. Hearing the gun shots the area people and his family came out and saw two people running, while Wajid was lying in a pool of blood. The accused were caught and handed over to the police. Two pistols were recovered from them.
Head Constable, Jameel told The News that Wajid eloped with his lover and got married. Nayaz did not like the situation, therefore as revenge he killed Wajid. Meanwhile, an alleged bandit was shot dead and another was injured in an encounter with Sharea Faisal police in their jurisdiction.
Two armed men intercepted two pedestrians, near Pehlwan Goth and proceded to rob them at gunpoint. However, they were intercepted by two policemen patrolling on a motorcycle. The armed men opened fire at the contables at which the police retaliated and injured both the bandits.
