Nawabshah: Fake currency dealers nabbed
NAWABSHAH: The Rangers arrested on Monday an inter–provincial gang running fake currency and seized fake notes worth Rs 456,000. The gang was busted on secret information and the chief of the gang was arrested. The action against the fake currency dealers was launched after receiving information on the sale of fake currency in the district and in other areas of the province.
During the action, the Rangers succeeded in tracing out the gang and arrested gangís chief Gul Muhammad Khaskheli and his accomplices Ashraf Jat and Shah Murad. The Rangers said the seized fake currency included notes of Rs 1,000, Rs 500 and Rs 100 denominations.
The accused admitted during the interrogation that they used to purchase fake notes from the tribal areas and spread the same in the interior of the province. They admitted that they had been involved in fake currency business since long. The gang members were later handed over to the B-Section police for further investigation.
