Peshawar: Police claim arrest of several gamblers
PESHAWAR: Police have claimed launching a crackdown on gambling dens in the city in the holy month of Ramazan and arrested several gamblers Tuesday. A police party of the Hashtnagri Police Station raided the house of Akbar in Kachi Mohallah. “We arrested nine gamblers and recovered around Rs12,000 from the spot,” said the head of the raiding party, Syed Atiq Shah. Eight people were arrested from a billiard club in Taj Abad where they were said to be involved in gambling.
