Lahore: British national awarded 5-year imprisonment
LAHORE: A special court (banking offences) has awarded five years imprisonment to a British national of an Afghan ethnicity convicting him of defrauding different banks using counterfeit credit cards. The court also fined the convict, Saifullah Habibi alias Baba, Rs 150,000. A team of FIA Cyber Crime Circle comprising Assistant Director Zia–ul–Islam and Sub-Inspector Nayar Nirtmazi arrested the accused when he was buying mobile sets using counterfeit credit card from a multinational mobile phone company’s outlet at the Lawrence Road. The FIA also recovered dozens of fake credit cards from his custody.
