Rawalpindi: Court sends kidnappers on 5-day remand
RAWALPINDI: Anti–Terrorism Court (ATC) No–I Judge Chaudhry Habibur Rehman on Monday sent three alleged kidnappers, including a woman, on a five–day physical remand and adjourned the hearing until September 13. The court sent the accused including Shamim Bibi, Ghuncha Gul and Aitbar Khan, who were arrested by Airport police for their alleged involvement in a kidnapping case of a four-year-old girl for ransom, in police custody on five days physical remand.
The accused had kidnapped Rania, four-year-old granddaughter of Brig Muhammad Akram, demanding Rs 20 million as ransom for her safe release. The police and CIA arrested the accused from Golra and recovered the girl from a house in Mardan.
