Karachi: Bandits kill 3 on resistance
KARACHI: Bandits looted cash and killed three people on resistance in two different places on Thursday. Two armed men riding a motorcycle barged into the shop of Ghareeb Khan, 30, situated in the Pak Colony police area. The armed men at gunpoint ordered the owner Khan to hand over all the cash. When he resisted the armed men shot him dead and fled with the booty. After hearing the gunshots, the area shop owners rushed to the spot and saw his body. They immediately informed the police who shifted his body to the Civil Hospital Karachi for legal formalities.
A bullet–riddled body of Ashfaq Ahmed, 40, a rickshaw driver was found in his vehicle (D–48005) in Nusrat Bhutto Colony situated in the Shahrah-e-Noor Jehan police limits. Some passers-by saw his body and informed the police who shifted it to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for legal formalities. Police said that unidentified people after snatching money killed him on resistance. The deceased was living in the Korangi Industrial Area police jurisdiction.
Two armed men riding a motorcycle intercepted a vehicle of Irshad Quarashi, 24, near the Central Prison Chowrangi in Jamshed Quarter police area. The armed men at gunpoint ordered him to hand over all his cash and vehicle. When he resisted they opened fire. He sustained a bullet injury. The bandits managed to flee without the booty.
Later the injured was shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) in a critical condition, where during treatment he breathed his last.
