Karachi: Designer murder case: witnesses’ statements recorded
KARACHI: The statements of three of the witnesses in the murder case of Sheikh Amer Hasan, a fashion designer, were recorded on Wednesday in the court of the Civil Judge and Judicial Magistrate south. Hasan’s driver, Mohammed Tariq, told the court that he reached the victim’s house, he found Hasan’s body lying in a pool of blood, and immediately phoned the victim’s elder brother. Waqar, a friend of Hamza (one of the men accused for Hasan’s murder), informed the court about their friendship with the victim. Another witness, Raj, who was a neighbour of Hamza’s informed the court that he and Hamza ran a cellular phone business. The court adjourned the case till October 8.
The trussed-up body of 37–year–old Hasan was found in his Phase 6, Defence Housing Authority (DHA) flat where he lived alone. The victim had been shot thrice – twice in the face, and once in the head — from a point-blank range.
