Lahore: People robbed of cash, jewellery
LAHORE: Dacoits on Sunday deprived citizens of cash and valuables worth hundreds of thousands of rupees. Two armed motorcycle riders snatched Rs 10,000 and gold ornaments from a couple a few yards away from their house in the jurisdiction of Gulshan Ravi police station. Victims Farrukh Nawaz, a resident of Habib Park, Gulshan Ravi and his wife were going in a car when the dacoits robbed them. Two dacoits deprived Mahboob–ur–Rehman and his wife of cash and gold ornaments amounting to Rs 130,000 in the Racecourse police area. Three dacoits broke into the house of Asif in the Shalimar police area and looted cash and gold jewellery worth Rs 150,000.
Three armed motorcycle riders snatched Rs 3,000 and a gold chain from Dr Akmal, a resident of Shaheen Colony, Walton Road, in the Kot Lakhpat area. Two dacoits robbed Arslan, a resident of Karam Nagar, and his friends of four cell phones outside his house in the limits of Sandah police station. Two dacoits entered a general store at Huma Block, Iqbal Town, and robbed its owner, Farzand Ali, of Rs 4,500 and three cell phones.
