Mingora: Forces take control of Koza Bandai; 4 held
MINGORA: Security forces arrested four militants and recovered a quantity of weapons in a raid on a house in Khwazakhela area of the troubled Swat valley Wednesday. The militants were later shifted to an unknown destination for interrogation. The security forces conducted a raid on the house of Behram in Asala area of Khwazakhela and arrested four suspected militants. However, the owner of the house, Behram, was not present at home at the time of raid. They also recovered weapons in possession of the militants.
Those arrested were identified as Muhammad Umer, Shoaib, Ilyas and Masood who were shifted to undisclosed location for interrogation. Shoaib has been accused of abetting a terrorist, who carried out a blast in Wich Khuar.
Meanwhile, the security forces took control of the vacated Koza Bandai area. Taliban vacated the area after an agreement with the local peace committee on Monday and Tuesday. The security forces entered the village, the stronghold of the militants, and took position at the rooftops of the houses. They started clearing the area of mines and improvised explosive devices.
