Rawalpindi: Court issues arrest warrant for DHQ Hospital CMO
RAWALPINDI: Additional District and Sessions Judge Ghulam Mehdi Khan on Friday issued non–bailable arrest warrant for Dr Muhammad Ashraf, chief medical officer (CMO) of District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital, for not complying with the court order. The court also directed RA Bazaar police to present Dr Ashraf before the court on September 22. The court had earlier served four notices on Dr Ashraf to record his statement in a murder case registered with RA Bazaar police but he did not comply with the court order, hence the court issued non–bailable arrest warrant against him.
The same court issued non–bailable arrest warrant for Sub–Inspector (SI) Muhammad Ashraf of Cantonment Police in a narcotics case and wrote a letter to City Police Officer (CPO) Rao Muhammad Iqbal to arrest Ashraf and present him before the court on September 30. Non–bailable arrest warrants were issued against Ashraf for not complying with the court order to record his statement in a narcotics case registered with Cantonment police. The court had earlier served several notices on him but he did not appear before the court to record his statements. He was presently deputed in New Town police station.
