Lahore: Burnt man dies after 3 days
LAHORE: A 20–year–old man died at Mayo Hospital on Sunday, three days after he was burnt alive by a man and his wife at Allama Iqbal Town. The victim was identified as Imran Masih, the son of Ashiq Masih. The police said that the accused, Javed Masih, held grudges against the victim’s brother, Rafique, who had eloped with his wife some time back. Javed’s wife returned after a few days, and the couple had exchanged angry words with Imran on the day of the incident. On the same day, September 19, they set him on fire using kerosene oil. Imran suffered serious burns and was admitted to Mayo Hospital where he died on Sunday.
Allama Iqbal Town Police have registered a case against the two accused and sent the body of the victim to the city morgue for autopsy.
