Lahore: Man stabs wife to death
LAHORE: A 45 years old woman was stabbed to death by her husband and his friend in her house at Askari Housing Complex North Cantt on Sunday. The victim was identified as Rukshanda Bibi, a resident of 298 Askari Housing Complex North Cantt. Police said that the victim served as a briefing officer at Lahore airport. The victim was married with the accused Afzal, who hailed from Tufail Road Lahore Cantt and was presently living in Karachi in 1996. Rukshanda had left him in 2000 and got divorce from Afzal through court in 2006.
Both were contesting various cases in the courts of law. She was living alone in the house. Afzal’s friend Faheem used to force the victim to marry him, otherwise he would kill himself after eliminating her. He used to threat her on her cell phones in this regard.
On the day of the incident, the victim’s sister Farkhunda, who also served in the PIA, along with her brother-in-law Azhar Muhyuddin visited the house of her sister and discovered her dead in the store. Sheikh Ahsan–ul–Haq, the complainant, a resident of 416/1 College Road Sialkot, accused Afzal and Rana Faheem of killing his sister.
North Cantt police registered a case against accused Afzal and his friend Rana Faheem on the complaint of the victim’s brother Ahsan–ul–Haq of Sialkot.
