Lahore: Police recover 9-year-old kidnapped boy from relatives
LAHORE: Saddar Division Investigation Police on Sunday claimed to have safely recovered a nine–year–old boy who was kidnapped by close relatives from his school two days ago. According to the police, the headmaster of a primary school, Arif Ali, had called Police Emergency 15 and claimed that a nine–year–old boy had been kidnapped by unidentified persons from school premises. When the police reached the scene, school officials were able to provide them with the kidnappers’ car’s details, including the number plate. The police immediately registered a case with the father of the child as the complainant, and on the orders of superintendent police (Investigation) constituted a team for the recovery of the child.
With the details of the car, the police were able to trace the address of the current owners and raided the premises. The police safely recovered the boy as well as the vehicle used in the crime. They also discovered that the complainant’s sister-in-law’s son was the main culprit, as he had intended to become rich overnight by kidnapping the boy for ransom. The accused have been arrested and further investigations are underway.
