Karachi: Triple murderer turns himself in
KARACHI: “I killed my parents and nephew because they hated me,” said Nusrat Shad while surrendering himself to the police. Nusrat Shad went missing after he killed his elderly father Nisar Ahmed, a banker, mother Zakia Ahmed and nephew Sannan alias Sunny, a student, on October 7. Their dead bodies were found in their house within the jurisdiction of Gulberg Police Station. Nusrat surrendered himself, Gulberg Town SP Allauddin Abbasi told Daily Times.
Nusrat said that he killed Sannan at around 4:15 a.m. while he was in bed. “Sannan resisted but I controlled him,” he said. After killing Sannan, Nusrat stayed in the house till the morning. At 9:00 a.m. Nisar Ahmed woke up, and thinking his father would raise a furor, Nusrat took him to the drawing room where he killed him and soon after this, his mother woke up, who was killed the same way.
Nusrat is a known drug–addict and is mentally disturbed and had attempted to kill his elder brother earlier. He fled after putting on different clothes. His blood-covered clothes were found in Sannan’s bathroom, along with the knife used. “All of the family members loved each other,” said Nusrat. “My parents loved all my brothers and sisters and their grandson Sannan, but nobody loved me. They all taunted and abused me.
I got tired of all the hatred and hostility and decided to kill them.” “The family’s behavior disheartened Nusrat and he went into a complex,” said SIO Mohammad Ishaq. He had already planned to surrender himself to the police on the day of the soyem. He had some money which he took from the house while he was escaping and spend three days at Sea view from where he reached the police station by passenger bus.
