Islamabad: ICT police arrest 2 car lifters
ISLAMABAD: The Anti–Car Lifting Cell (ACLC) of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police has arrested two alleged car lifters and recovered nine stolen vehicles from their possession. According to a press statement issued here on Saturday, these alleged car lifters were involved in theft of vehicles, tampering their chassis numbers and their sale after preparation of bogus documents. The ACLC has arrested Naeem Khan son of Alam Jan and Muhammad Ayub son of Khan Mir.
They were members of a gang of inter-provincial car lifters. The cell has recovered nine stolen vehicles from their possession bearing bogus registration numbers including LWL–6819, LXN–8523, LWF–1507, LHW–1461, LRZ–6893, LED–6895, LWK–8161, LWE–6515 and LWH–1461. The accused had stolen theses vehicles from different districts including Islamabad.
