Rawalpindi: 3 witnesses in suicide attack case record statements
RAWALPINDI: An anti–terrorist court here on Tuesday adjourned hearing in a case related to the suicide attack on former prime minister Shaukat Aziz till October 21 after recording statements of three witnesses. The Fatehjang Police Station registered a case under Sections 302, 324 and 7-ATA against two accused — Maulvi Muhammad Imtiaz and Muhammad Usman — in 2004. Meanwhile, the ATC framed charges against Intikhab Abbasi, Shafiq-ur-Rehman and other people allegedly involved in planning suicide attacks and adjourned case hearing till October 21. The Sadiqabad Police Station registered a case under Sections 3/4 Explosive Act of Pakistan and 7-ATA on June 6, 2008, after arresting the accused from Dhoke Kala Khan with explosive material and three vans.
