Rawalpindi: Aerial firing claims minor’s life
RAWALPINDI: A stray bullet killed a 2-years-old boy during indiscriminate aerial firing in a marriage ceremony here in Maher Colony, police said. The Pirwadhai Police declaring it as an accidental death hushed up the case. However, it registered the case under section 322 PPC without nominating the people involved in the aerial shooting. Kubra Bibi, wife of Abdul Jabbar, lodged a complaint with the Pirwadhai Police that she came from Faislabad to attend the marriage ceremony of her relative Sabir along with her kids.
“I was enjoying the ceremony with my son Muhammad Azam when some people started indiscriminate aerial firing and a stray bullet hit my son causing him serious injuries,” she added. He was rushed to Holy Family Hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries during the surgery.
