Karachi: 2 awarded life imprisonment
KARACHI: Additional District and Sessions Judge Central Tasneem Sultana convicted two accused to 25 years rigorous imprisonment with a penalty of Rs0.1 million in a murder case. Mohammed Shahzad and Abdullah were accused of killing one, Ghulam Akber, a scrap dealer, in the jurisdiction of the New Karachi Industrial Area in 2005. The co-accused, Mohammed Wasim, was declared absconder in the said case. According to the prosecution, they (the convicts and the absconder) had a money dispute with the scrap dealer. The judge also ordered further six months imprisonment to the convicts, if they, failed to furnish the penalty.
