Rawalpindi: Accused given into police custody on remand
RAWALPINDI: The police presented another accused involved in Marriott suicide attack case in an anti–terrorist court (ATC) here on Tuesday. The ATC judge sent the accused Tehsinullah Khan to police custody on a three-day physical remand. The court directed police to produce the accused in the next hearing on October 24. The Secretariat Police Station registered a case against the four accused including Tehsinullah Khan under sections 302, 324, 109, 3/4 Explosive Act of Pakistan and 7-ATA on September 20, 2008. More than 50 innocent people including some foreigners were killed and more than 80 injured in the suicide attack at Marriott hotel.
Meanwhile, two witnesses recorded their statements against the accused allegedly involved in suicide attack on former prime minister Shaukat Aziz in an anti–terrorist court.
The court adjourned the further hearing of case till October 28. Fateh Jang Police Station registered a case against Maulvi Muhmmad Usman and Muhammad Imtiaz under sections 302, 324 and 7-ATA in 2004.
