Peshawar: Kidnapped child recovered, abductor held
PESHAWAR: Peshawar police have recovered a child kidnapped from Charsadda district of NWFP for Rs 10 million ransom and arrested an accused, police said on Thursday. Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Rural Circle Nasirul Mulk Bangash told reporters at the police lines that Sial Khair, 7, son of Khan Mohammad, was kidnapped on October 18 for Rs 10 million ransom from Umerzai area of Charsadda and a first information report (FIR) was lodged in Umerzai Police Station. He said that the child was kidnapped by accused Mohammad Shah Khan, alias Macha Khan, a resident of Machni, Peshawar.
Police on a tip-off raided a house here in Banat Kalay in Badaber Police Station limits and recovered the child from the house of one Jehazaib, son of Razzaq, and arrested Mohammad Shah Khan while Jehanzaib was not at home. In another incident, police arrested four persons and recovered arms and drugs from their possession here in the limits of Bhanamari Police Station. Police arrested Manzoor, Obaidullah, Owais and Sattar and recovered two Kalashnikovs, one pistol, one Kalakov, 52 rounds and two kilogram charas from their possession.
