Rawalpindi: Arrest warrants of SHO, IO issued
RAWALPINDI: Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi Bench Friday issued arrest warrants of SHO Saddar Barooni and Investigation Officer (IO) for not complying the court orders. A single bench of the LHC comprised Justice M A Zafar issued arrest warrants of SHO Saddar Barooni and investigation officer in the case for not complying the court orders and completing the challan in a brawl case even the lapse of 15 days. The court directed City Police Officer (CPO) Rawalpihndi Rao Muhammad Iqbal to ensure arrest of the police personnel and produce before the court on November 5.
According to the details, a plaintiff Mst. Sakina Bibi filed a writ pleading the court that case No. 242 registered against her and other family members was bogus and without any facts.
She prayed that the previous investigation officer in his report had clarified the factual position that no such incident had taken place being attributed to her and other members of her family.
During the previous hearing Justice Moulvi Anwar ul Haque had directed the investigation officer to submit initial report and challan within 15 days with the direction not to intimidate the said petitioner, but the SHO did not comply with the court directions.
Malik Ghulam Mustafa Kandwal Advocate presented before the court on behalf of the petitioner Sakina Bibi.
The court fixed November 5 for next hearing directing the CPO Rawalpindi to ensure arrest and production of the said officials before the court on next hearing.
