Islamabad: 9 held for street crimes
ISLAMABAD: The police have arrested nine persons, including a woman, for their alleged involvement in sale of narcotics and weapons and recovered drugs, liquor and two pistols from their possession. According to a press statement issued here on Tuesday, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ahmad Latif issued special directions to all station house officers (SHOs) to take a strict action against the criminals involved in street crime and anti–social activities.
Tarnol police arrested Rukhsana, Faqir Muhammad, Qayamat Zar and Liaquat Ali and recovered 2,040-gram charas, two 30-bore pistols and seven rounds from their possession.
Sabzimandi police arrested Raja Khalid for his involvement in street crimes and seized a cellphone from his possession. Kohsar police arrested Mehtab, Sabir and Anis Azam and recovered Rs 11,000 worth of stolen property and one dagger from their possession. Margalla Police arrested Farooq Machi and recovered 24 bottles of liquors from his possession.
