Kohat: 4 suspected militants among 24 held, arms seized
KOHAT: Police claimed to have arrested 24 criminals, including four suspected militants, and recovered huge quantity of arms during search operation in different areas of the city late Tuesday night. On a tip-off, DPO Abdullah Khan constituted separate raiding police parties headed by the sub–divisional police officers (SDPOs) of the circles concerned and five notorious criminals, including Zamin Akbar, Iqbal, Mudassir, Samiullah and Muhammad Sagheer, were arrested during search operation in different areas.
Police also nabbed four suspected persons identified as Ahmed Munir, Abdul Saeed, Safiullah and Zamin Shah for having links with the militants. They were shifted to an undisclosed location for interrogation.
Meanwhile, in another raid at Bahadur Colony an alleged drug–trafficker, Mubarak Shah, was nabbed and two Kalashnikov rifles, seven guns, seven pistols, 70 cartridges, 40 bottles of wine and three kilograms of hashish were recovered from him.
