Rawalpindi: Gang ‘trapping’ girls through cell phone held, girl recovered
RAWALPINDI: Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) on Wednesday busted a gang of criminals for allegedly trapping young girls through unregistered mobile numbers and using them in prostitution and recovered a teenage girl from their custody. Sources in the CIA told Daily Times that Yasmeen, daughter of Syed Ali Hussain Shah, a resident of Adwal, was kidnapped on October 26 from the wedding ceremony of her elder sister. Chontra police had registered a case on October 28.
The gang was traced through the mobile numbers used in the communication. Five members of the gang, including a woman, were arrested and have been identified as Ghazala Bibi, Jehanzeb, Fazlur Rehman, Zafar Ali and Shah Rehman. The gangsters were shifting the kidnapped girl from Chakri to Peshawar when the CIA arrested them near the district courts. Yasmeen was recovered unharmed from their custody.
