RAWALPINDI: Meanwhile, the same court on Saturday adjourned hearing into former president General (r) Pervez Musharraf plane attack case till November 17 and directed the police to submit challans against the accused. The court, headed by Judge Kahoot, was trying accused Niaz Ahmad and Muhammad Mazharul Haq for their alleged involvement in an attempt to assassinate the former president on July 6, 2007 in the jurisdiction of the Banni Police Station.
Around 36 rounds of a submachine gun were fired on Musharraf’s plane in Rawalpindi on July 6, 2007. However, the bullets did not hit the plane and the former president remained safe.
