Rawalpindi: Plot to blow up police offices: suspects indicted
RAWALPINDI: The Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) No II on Saturday indicted three suspected terrorists for their alleged involvement in a plot to blow up offices of the deputy inspector general (DIG) of police and the senior superintendent of police. The court adjourned the hearing till November 24. Judge Sakhi Muhammad Kahoot indicted Khurum Ishtiaq, a resident of Muslim Town Rawalpindi, Ghulam Mustafa, a resident of Kallar Syedian, and Shamim Alam, a resident of South Waziristan Agency, for their alleged involvement in a plot to attack DIG and SSP offices.
According to details, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Crime Circle team arrested the suspects on August 24 from the Muslim Colony. Explosives were also recovered from their custody. FIA sources said that suspects had links with a notorious terrorists network.
