3 arrested in Islamabad
ISLAMABAD: Three persons, including a woman, were arrested by the Tarnol Police here on Thursday after recovery of a stolen vehicle, 1.2 kilograms of opium and one kilogram of charas from their possession. The accused were identified as Imran Shaukat (Rawalpindi), Qamar Gul (Mohmand) and a woman, Razia Bibi, wife of Zulfiqar Ahmed (Faisalabad). A stolen vehicle, bearing registration number FDA–6484, and narcotics were recovered from their possession.
During preliminary investigation, the accused confessed stealing the car from Rawalpindi. Tarnol Police Station SHO Fida Hussain Satti, SI Malik Muhammad Nawaz, SI Rabnawaz, ASIs Sher Ahmed and Ali Asghar arrested the accused.
Meanwhile, the CIA Police arrested suspects identified as Nasir and Qamar Iqbal involved in robbery and theft cases and recovered cash, gold ornaments and other valuables worth millions of rupees from their possession.
Police also recovered stolen goods from the accused who had looted an Indian diplomat, OGDCL official Muhammad Ajmal and Iftikhar Ahmad.
The stolen goods were handed over to their owners on the orders of the court and cases have been registered against the accused.
