Islamabad: 6 arrested in connection with prostitution
ISLAMABAD: As many as six persons, including five women, allegedly involved in sex trade were arrested by police from Sector F-11 here on Wednesday, police said. Acting on a tip-off with regard to supply of women in guesthouses by a group led by Tanveer Abbas and Aasia Malik, the Shalimar Police Station constituted a team, headed by Ghulam Baqir. The team conducted a raid on a vehicle with five women and a man in Sector F-11.
According to police, the raid was conducted when Tanveer Abbas and Aasia Malik were transporting women in a vehicle bearing registration number LX-324-ICT for onward supply to different persons for prostitution. The accused were identified as Tanveer Abbas, son of Ghulam Mustafa (Sargodha), Aasia Malik, wife of Muhammad Sharif (Mandi Bahauddin), Mafna, daughter of Muhammad Ali (Lahore), Nadia, daughter of Shafique (Lahore), Nadia, daughter of Jamil (Lahore) and Bano, daughter of Sharif (Lahore).
Police have registered a case under Sections 371-A and 371-B of the Pakistan Penal Code. The arrested persons were produced in the court and sent to judicial lock-up.
