Rawalpindi: ANF foils drug smuggling by a Nepalese
RAWALPINDI: The Personnel of Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) after foiling a bid of heroin smuggling from an Islamabad to Katmandu bound flight detained a Nepali and also recovered heroin filled capsules from his custody. ANF sources disclosed that a Nepali passenger Bijay Tamang who was going to Katmandu on Qatar Airways flight number 399 was investigated on suspicion and on checking of his luggage recovered 14 capsules filled with heroin from a shampoo bottle.
Later on further investigation, he disclosed that he has also swallowed 48 heroin filled capsules and after this disclosure, he was shifted to Benazir Bhutto Hospital Rawalpindi, where 48 heroin filled capsules were recovered from his abdomen by conducting anemia.
ANF has registered a case against him after 740 grams of heroin was recovered from the capsules and after preliminary investigations, he has been shifted to Adiyala jail on Judicial remand.
