Karachi: Man gets life term
KARACHI: Additional District and Sessions Judge, West, Saba Ahmed, awarded life imprisonment to Fazal Wahid with a fine of Rs 25,000, failing which he would have to undergo rigorous imprisonment of two years under section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC). The sentence was awarded after Wahid was found guilty of murdering Abdul Sattar in the jurisdiction of Pirabad police station on October 19, 2001. The convict was given benefit of section 382-B of the Pakistan Penal Code since his date of arrest. Fazal Wahid killed Abdul Wahab with a sharp-edged weapon on October 19, 2001. The complainant Abdul Jalal had lodged the report at the Pirabad police station. After killing Wahab, Fazal had surrendered to the police station along with the weapon he used.
