Islamabad: Court summons 7 accused
ISLAMABAD: After recording the statements of doctors and other staff members of the Federal Government Services Hospital here on Friday, District and Sessions Judge Mirza Rafi-uz-Zaman summoned seven accused currently on bail to appear before the court for prosecution of the case regarding manhandling of two doctors today (Saturday). The judge again summoned Dr. Muhammad Arshad and Sub–Inspector Rescue–15 Nazir Muhammad to appear before the court to record their statements as they could not appear on Friday.
The judged summoned seven on bail accused — Ms Meraan Gohar, Gohar Khan Khakwani, Rehman Khakwani, Yahya Khan, Junaid Khan, Suleman and Dawood — to appear before the court for prosecution.
An FIR was registered against seven accused on November 3 at the Aabpara Police Station under Sections 353, 186, 147,149,342 and 427 of the Pakistan Penal Code. Later Sections 354, 337-A(i) and 337-F(ii) were added and Section 427 was deleted from the initial FIR on the request of Dr. Riffat Pasha.
