Lahore: 3-day physical remand for forex scam accused
LAHORE: A magistrate sent the three accused of forex scam to Federal Investigation Agency custody on a three-day physical remand on Monday. The fourth accused, Rustam Ali Khan was sent on a judicial remand in the jail. The four accused arrested for their alleged involvement in the forex scam were produced before the magistrate amid tight security by the FIA today. FIA officials had sought a seven-day extension in physical remand on which accused lawyer Akram Sheikh said magistrate has no jurisdiction to hear the financial scam case and they should be produced before the District and Session Judge.
However, District and Session judge dismissed the plea and sent them back to the magistrate who handed over Munaf Kalia, Javed Khanani and Tariq Mahmood to FIA on a three–day physical remand.
