Lahore: FIR registered against accused
LAHORE: The provincial police officer has informed the Lahore High Court that an FIR on the directions has been registered against the accused that tortured and humiliated a pregnant woman and occupied her house in area of Toba Tek Singh. Chief Justice LHC Sayed Zahid Hussain had taken a suo moto notice of horrible incident and directed the registrar LHC to find out the correct position of the incident from the inspector general police Punjab and steps taken by the police. The CJ observed that incident is shocking and should not go unnoticed.
The IG further said the DPO TT Singh reported that medial report suggested 15 week pregnant woman had sustained two minor injuries however ultrasound report said no injury has been caused to baby.
The investigations of the case are underway and the DPO has been directed to depute some gazetted officer for supervision of the investigation and ensure immediate arrested of accused and finalisation of investigation strictly on merit.
According to the details, armed men of former UC nazim Muhammad Boota occupied the property of victim woman namely Shabana Bibi in the precincts Rajana Police Station and dragged her resulting in tearing her clothes. They also subjected her to severe beating. The local police had joined hand with the accused persons as it was avoiding registration of case against them despite having received an application from victim.
