Rawalpindi: Afghan gang loots house, injures owner
RAWALPINDI: A gang of four Afghan bandits looted a house after injuring a person in Shafique Colony and took away gold ornaments, cash and valuables to the tune of half a million rupees, police said. Matloob Hussain, resident of Shafique Colony, Dhok Kashmirian lodged a complaint with the Sadiqabad Police that he was present in his house along with his wife when a person knocked at his door at around 7 p.m. As he opened the door, a man gave him a plate of rice saying that Chaudhary Sabid sent the ‘niaz.’ He took the plate and walked to the kitchen. Meanwhile, four people equipped with pistols stormed into the house and held him as well as his wife at gunpoint.
On offering resistance, the bandits injured the complainant by hitting gun on his head. The gangsters collected gold, cash and other valuables after locking the couple in a room and fled away.
