Lahore: ATC awards death sentence to killer
LAHORE: The Anti–Terrorism Court–I (ATC–I), Gujranwala, has awarded death sentence on two counts and a fine of Rs 200,000 to one Arif for killing a person in Civil Lines, Gujranwala area. In case of non-payment of the fine, the culprit will undergo rigorous imprisonment for six months. The incident took place on April 28, 2008 while the challan was submitted in the court on June 27, 2008. Similarly, the ATC–II Gujranwala convicted Qaisar Aziz in a murder case and sentenced him under Section 302, 324 and 353 to various terms of imprisonment, including life imprisonment.
