Rawalpindi: Rs 10 million burglary at trader’s house
RAWALPINDI: Five armed people on Thursday intruded into a trader’s house, located on Sarwar Road, and made off with valuables worth Rs 10 million. Civil Lines Police said that the accused entered the house of Sheikh Shaukat, who runs a medical store in Saddar, and held five women at gunpoint. They said the accused took away over 50 tola gold jewellery and several hundred dollar notes from the house. The police said that jewellery and cash were kept at the targeted house, as marriage of Shaukat’s daughter was due next month. A case has been registered against the accused and investigation started.
