Swat: 10 dead in Swat suicide bombing, 18 arrested in operation
SWAT: At least 10 persons including a woman were killed and 49 injured in a suicide bombing near check post at Sangota, the outskirt area of Mingora, while the security forces conducting search operation arrested 18 extremists here. Sources said that the suicide bomber got the explosives laden vehicle crashed into a check post at Sangota, which resulted in the complete destruction of two passenger vehicles parked in a row near the check post besides a nearby building was also partially injured. At least 10 persons were killed and 49 injured in the attack. The injured were shifted to Saidu Sharif Hospital.
Swat media centre released handout said that by enforcing an indefinite curfew from Mingora town and Lunda check post up to Fizagut, a search operation has been launched, which led to the arrests of 18 extremists from Qambar and Bilogram areas, while one person was shot dead at Qambar for violation of curfew.
