Lahore: Drug pushers jailed
LAHORE: An additional district and sessions court on Tuesday awarded collectively 30 months imprisonment to two accused of drug dealing and imposed a fine of Rs 400,000 on them. The accused Shutak Hussain and Muhammad Ahsan were arrested allegedly with over 1000 gms Heroin by Anti Narcotics Force from Lahore Air Port while they were trying to go abroad The court sentenced them jail after they confessed their offense. In case of default the convicts will have to undergo four months more sentence.
Meanwhile, Additional District and Sessions Judge Asghar Ali Faheem Bhatti on Tuesday awarded four years and six months imprisonment to an accused of drug dealing and also fined him Rs 10,000. Iqbal Town police had arrested the convict, Karamat Ali, in June, 2004, for possessing two kilo opium.
