Lahore: 55 court touts, fake testifiers arrested
LAHORE: The Lahore Police have registered 42 cases and arrested 55 offenders during a special campaign against court touts and fake testifiers. This was disclosed by Capital City Police Officer Muhammad Pervaz Rathore during a special meeting in which he emphasised to expedite the campaign against fake testifiers and touts. The Capital City Police Officer said it was necessary to take stern action against anti–social elements. He appealed to the citizens to inform him on FAX No. 9204037 if they knew any such tout or fake testifier. Muhammad Pervaz Rathore said that a strict legal action would be taken against police officials who were found abettor of touts or found taking lenient action against such elements.
The fake testifiers or touts, who were prosecuted, were Ali Akbar, Fazal Illahi, Zahid Mehmood, Aslam, Muhammad Yahyea, Muhammad Amin, Irshad Shah, Irfan Muhammad, Liaquat, Muhammad Yameen, Muhammad Shabbir, Safdar Ali, Awais Ahmad, Rizia Bagum, Abdul Rashid, Asad Ullah, Muhammad Nadeem, Muhammad Nadeem Bodi, Muhammad Nazim, Saif Ullah, Muhammad Saddique, in PS Lower Mall, while in PS Islam Pura Sajid Ali Shah, Akbar Khan, Khalid Naeem, Muhammad Ashraf and Shahzad Aslam Butt. Similarly, cases have also been registered in PS Naseerabad Arif Hussain, Muhammad Boota, Rafique, Papu, Imran Masieh, Riaz, Ghulam Murtaza, Ameen Gul, Muhammad Nasir, Maqsood Butt, Murtaza, Imran Masieh, Shakeel Masieh, Almas Masieh, Bushra Masieh, Muhammad Ali, Malik Imran, Tariq Farooq, Muhammad Nadeem, Dilshad, and in South Cantt. Nadeem Afzal, Muhammad Naseer, Tariq Mehmood, Muhammad Irshad and in PS North Cantt. Daaim Fayaz, Muhammad Saddique, Muhammad Azhar in PS Iqbal Town Abdul Aziz and against Imran in PS Wahdat Colony. All these accused were prosecuted under sections 420/468/472.
