Street crimes on the rise in Islamabad
ISLAMABAD: Enormous sense of fear is prevailing among inhabitants of the Sector F-6/1, posh sector of the capital, as high ratio of street crimes is being witnessed in the sector for the last two months. The public and social circles of the sector while expressing their concern over the situation told that unknown armed men commit criminal activities under the cover of night and snatch mobiles and other precious belongings. The inhabitants of the sector underlined that they were confined to their homes in the night due to fear of looting. Waqas Saeed while talking to this agency told that he often leaves office late at night and increasing rate of street crimes is a great panic for him.
Expressing dissatisfaction over performance of the police, the residents told that complaints were registered in Kohsar Police Station several times but they paid no attention to their complaints.
They demanded of the government and high officials of the Interior Ministry to take effective measures to control criminal incidents and increase police patrolling in the sector.
