Rawalpindi: Girl abducted, house robbed, 3 cars lifted
RAWALPINDI: A girl was kidnapped, a house was burgled and three cars were stolen from different areas of the city during the last 24 hours, police sources told Daily Times on Thursday. Gulzar Ahmed, a resident of Gulshanabad Akal Garh, lodged a first information report (FIR) with Ganjmandi police, stating that his daughter Asifa, a student of Matriculation, was missing and that Muzafar and Imran kidnapped her. Waheed Ahmed, a resident of Gulistan Colony, lodged an FIR with Civil Lines Police Station, stating that burglars broke into his house in his absence and made off with Rs 65,000 cash and a pistol.
DrMunawarHussain, a resident of Allahabad, registered a complaint with Westridge Police Station that his car was stolen from outside his house.
TauseefIqbal, a resident of Chaklala Scheme–III, registered a complaint with Airport Police Station, stating that his car was stolen from outside his house.
Aamir, a resident of Satellite Town, registered an FIR with New Town Police Station, stating that his motorcycle was stolen from the parking lot of Public Park Shamsabad. Amir, a resident of Pirvadhai, registered an FIR with Pirvadhai Police Station, stating that Malik Ijaz gave him a fake cheque worth Rs3.9 million.
PervaizAbbasi, a resident of Sadiqabad, registered an FIR with Sadiqabad Police Station, stating that AsgharMehmood gave him a fake cheque worth Rs 1 million. Separate cases of the incidents have been registered and investigations launched.
Meanwhile, City Police arrested 11 outlaws and seized seven pistols, 17 rounds, 61 bottles of liquor and 475 grammes of hashish from their possession. The police said that they arrested six accused identified as Zafar, Mumraiz, Nauman, Imran, Azhar and Riaz for allegedly possessing illegal weapons.
