Lahore: Boy shot dead
LAHORE: A boy was killed and four other people were injured after six people opened in the Green Town area on Tuesday. The deceased was identified as Tanveer Ahmad, 16, son of Khalil, while the injured were identified as Saghir, 26, and Naseer, 21, brothers of Tanveer, and two members of the accused party, Noor Muhammad, 50, and main accused Amjad’s brother. Police said M Amjad, a resident of CB-2 Block, Khan Colony, who ran a cell phone shop on Hall Road, hired the services of a local, Tanveer, as salesman. Amjad accused Tanveer of stealing cell phones from his shop some time back and sacked him. The elders intervened and managed to resolve the issue.
Amjad’s brother Irfan asked Tanveer’s family for his sister’s hand for marriage but Tanveer opposed this proposal. On the day of incident, both the parties were present at the house of Asif, brother-in-law of Amjad. Irfan exchanged harsh words with victim Tanveer and later he, along with his accomplices, opened fire at Tanveer and others.
